Public speaking includes sub-topics, such as making "pitches" to sell products or ideas to investors or others, and extemporaneous speaking, speaking without having had time to prepare. If it's a report or a paragraph, after your single sentence with the main point, add a couple of details and then ask the single listener on which topic, A or B, he would like to hear more information. By the time you think it is correct, your listener may be confused about which variation of the question he should answer.
